In this segment of "Sustainable Change at the bottom of Pyramid" we bring to you some very powerful stories of simple and hardworking people at the bottom of the pyramid. Sharing the fifth video of the series in association with "CInI- Collective for Integrated Livelihoods Initiative" who have been successfully running the "Lakhpati Kisan" program within tribal communities of India. Today, we are in conversation with the dashing ladies of Laxmi Village Foundation from Choliya Village, Sabarkantha district in Gujarat. They have transformed their lives completely after joining the program by CInI and receiving guidance from them. The better facilities for farming improved their yield and knowledge and availability of medicine for their livestock has made dairy farming profitable. Their annual income has increased from INR 40,000 to INR 200,000 which has helped them build better homes, access better education for their children, develop better hygiene in the village and upgrade their overall lifestyle.
